Music For Vets / MFV

  - About The Bands

OTHERWISE is an American Rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Three full-length albums have been released on Sony Music Entertainment, titled True Love Never Dies (2012),  Peace At All Costs (2014), Sleeping Lions (2017) and now under Mascot Label Group they are set to release the forth, DEFY on November 8th, 2019.

A little danger makes rock music memorable.

The edges cut deep and hit just as hard as any hook does, leaving a mark forever. Tapping into the spirit of rebelliousness, OTHERWISE embrace those edges on their fourth full-length and debut for Mascot Label Group, Defy. The Las Vegas quartet push the boundaries of their signature style in terms of both songcraft and sonic experimentation alike.

Most importantly, the boys hold nothing back…

"It’s easy to take the weird for granted, to think that everything you’ve done and experienced in your life is completely normal. Then one day, you start telling stories, and your psychologist says, ‘Man, I’m surprised you’re not more screwed up than you are!’ And that’s why I write – because I can’t be the only one feeling this way. And someone has to say it.”

– Doug Lane, The Real Doug Lane

Doug was raised in Kingsville, Texas, in the shadow of King Ranch. His father was a Navy officer and his mother was amazing. He served four years in the Army and ended his contract honorable -- always thankful for the experience, and glad when it ended.

His passion for music started early. “One of my earliest memories is ‘conducting’ the college orchestra with a rolled up program. I was probably 3.” From there, he studied piano, then saxophone. Doug found his voice on the guitar toward the end of his time in the Army.

A lifetime musician and performer, Doug began performing his own original songs in 2014 in small venues around Utah. At his first solo gig, the owner linked his performance to another artist – another Doug Lane – and an offhand joke solidified his stage name. From that moment on, Doug began performing as The Real Doug Lane.

In 2016, his song “Faces” was selected by Operation Encore, an organization that brings together singer/songwriters from across the country who are part of the military and veteran communities. His 2021 debut album “Water From the Stone” reached fans throughout the USA and built new audiences overseas with hits “After All the Drinking’s Done”, “Dancing in the Rain”, and fan-favorite “Piss On Your Shoes”. Following the success of his “Unmasked Tour” in 2021, TRDL and band released their sophomore album "Pocket Full of Pills" in 2022.

Doug currently resides in Provo, Utah with his wife, their four children, and two dogs (Dodger and Bear), and Oliver the cat.

Dirty rock and soul resting on a bed of heavy blues, with a twist of nostalgic classic rock, is one way to describe the music of Ginger & The Gents.

ZamTrip is a hard driving band out of Rock Springs, Wyoming. The three Zampedri brothers, Kyle, Cory and Cody joined forces with powerhouse vocalist Samantha Newman, and have been delivering their unique blend of alternative, hard rock and blues influenced music since 2012.

Throughout the year the band has shared the stage with many heavy hitters including Halestorm, Nonpoint, 10 Years, Black Stone Cherry and countless other national acts.
